Death is a very dull, dreary affair, and my advice to you is to have nothing whatsoever to do with it.

Listen up! Mayfair Plaza car park, Sandy Bay. September 2012. Wordless Wednesday.

All objects lose by too familiar a view.

Seeds. Princes Street, Sandy Bay. July 2012. Another Tuesday, another Q and A. Another stolen from Sunday Stealing. This week, The Useless Questions Meme . If you have any questions (useless or otherwise), I'm always up for answering them! Have you ever written a song? I’ve written poems that could be presented as songs, but no, I’ve not explicitly written a song. Have you ever been in the opposite sex's public toilet? Many years ago now. It’s not that exciting. Are you superstitious? Not in the least bit. What's the most daring thing you've done? Having children. By a long stretch. Did you have a baby blanket? Do you still sleep with it? I assume that I did. I do have a blanket that I used as a child. It’s on Ezra’s bed at the moment. Have you ever tried to cut your own hair? If yes, how’d it work out? No. That would not be a wise thing to attempt. Have you ever sleepwalked? Not to my knowledge. If you could be any age, what age would you be...

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Hobart’s winter sky. The view over the Derwent Estuary, from Battery Point. June 2012. Theme Thursday and I am very very late. My apologies. I’m caught up you see. Caught up in something FULL CIRCLE. As noted earlier in the week, Lenin – and he knew a thing about ‘em – used to say that the fundamental law of revolution is that for a revolution to take place, it is simply not enough for the exploited and oppressed masses to recognise the unfeasibility of living in the old way, and thus demand change. However, for a revolution to actually happen, it is essential that the exploiters recognise and understand that they will not be able to live and rule in the old ways. Revolutions are not just about politics. Some of us need r...

War has become a luxury that only small nations can afford.

Waiting for the light. Campbell Street, intersection with Davey Street. February 2011. There are many things that one can do while waiting for the lights to change. If not reading a book or taking photos, I like to subtly alter the lyrics of popular tunes of yesteryear to amuse myself. If I can’t think of any, I concoct hypothesised conversations between any pedestrians that might be lurking around. If I’m really bored, I like to speculate what kind of foibles, desires, hidden strengths or indeed pervasions that complete strangers in the street might possess. Try it. It’s fun.
