Go away girl, go away

Go on then. Castray Esplanade, April 2010. It can be good advice, that found above. I am endeavouring to work up my own poem inspired by the sign, but am struggling for an appropriate final stanza. But it is today’s poem that I wish to praise. Spike gets buttonholed as a “funny man”, but he could turn out a fine bit of poetry or prose when required. Oh, what lies there are in kisses.

I always show plenty of caution when crossing here each morning. Especially when I'm crouching down taking photographs. I've opted for a Robert Lowell this morning, to cheer you all up! The difficulty is not so great to die for a friend, as to find a friend worth dying for.

Imagine for a second that you have a best FRIEND . He is a good FRIEND. A solid FRIEND. A FRIEND that has seen you through the good times and the bad. Imagine chaining that FRIEND up to the back of your ute, and driving down to South Hobart. Some FRIEND. It’s Theme Thursday you see, and today’s theme is FRIEND. Some people reckon that dogs are man’s best FRIEND . I reckon that this photo proves otherwise.
