(Is it anything like "Trout Fishing in America" by Richard Brautigan? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trout_Fishing_in_America - I still have a copy of the book I borrowed from my HS boyfriend. I have no idea what the book is about, but I know I liked it at 17.)
