Chastity - the most unnatural of all the sexual perversions.

Rosella in stand-off. Royal Botanical Gardens, Hobart. April 2012. Theme Thursday and I have been driven just a little bit WILD by the new interface that Blogger has enforced on us all. I know that I shouldn't complain about what is ultimately a free service, and with this being post number three-thousand, three-hundred and seventy-five, I'm hardly going to quit now. That said, I am intrigued as to how others feel about it. Some come on Theme Thursday-ers, what do you reckon? Are you WILD about it? Or does it just drive you WILD?

Nature abhors a moron.

A pair of Eastern Rosellas spotted over the road from our place this time last week. They make a fine sight on a clear, brisk morning. My guesstimate would be that there are twenty or so pairs living within four hundred square metres of our house, so they can often be found. Things that are annoying me this morning: 1. the same old morons; 2. the burn I picked up on my right hand last night; 3. anti-vaccination idiots; 4. stubborn, hard to remove stains; 5. play dough.

No, no it's not dead it's resting...

In order to get to play group, Henry and I generally cut across the lower fields of Geilston Bay High School. I have noted something on these fields for the past two months, but have thus far failed to secure a decent photograph. That didn't change today, but I am noe prepared to settle for something less than a decent photograph. Can you see them? Look closer. Click on the picture to enlarge it if you like. See it now? Yes, as I posted some time ago, the birdies are back! Eastern Rosellas , to be precise. Here you can see the two that I got closest too. And here were a bunch hanging around just behind them. I'd guess that there are maybe a good thirty or forty that have taken up residence directly across the road from us. Them and a huge mob of cockatoos , numerous 'plovers' (well, 'banded lapwings' to be precise), and quite a few breeding pairs of magpies . It's not a bad scene each morning.

Ads that I like #40

I've been insulted many, many times. I've been called all the names under the sun. And I will be blunt with you all, I've called people a few nasty things myself (yes, it's true, please don't look so shocked ). But do you know what? I can honestly say that I have never, ever stooped to the depths of inhumanity, perversion and downright rudeness of the parrot in todays ad. Seriously, the fainthearted should not click on the picture and read it in all its horror, it will turn your hair grey.
