I love living. I have some problems with my life, but living is the best thing they've come up with so far.

Ezra and I (in shadow). Geilston Bay Road, Geilston Bay. April 2013. This week sees me stealing another series from Sunday Stealing: The Meme From Memphis (part two) . Have any memories that you’d like to forget? One or two. Is there someone you really like to hang out with and just talk about stuff? There's a couple. Have you ever been called prince or princess? Only in jest. Do you think teenagers are weird? No weirder than anyone else. How fast does your mood change? It has been known to turn on a five cent coin. How are you feeling? Pretty ordinary. Do you want someone to call you right now? Not particularly. What do you always take with you? A camera. Is your bed comfortable? Indeed it is! Would you say you’re an understanding person? I am capable of great understanding, but do have a firm sense of right and wrong. Are you generally a happy person? I make some effort to be. I think that I've been at my happiest over the past couple of y...

Every sin is the result of a collaboration.

Henry and I coming in from a snorkel. Opossum Bay, February 2013. 1: Do you notice a person’s eye colour? I have to find the person vaguely interesting, but if I do, I’ll always clock it. 2: White, milk, or dark chocolate mocha? The darker, the better. 3: If you could get a tattoo free, would you do it? What would it be? An invisible one. Different strokes for different folks and people can do what they like, but I’m not much of a fan of the old body art. 4: Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it? It depends on what one compares it with. I grew up in Burnie, Tasmania which to someone from London would seem like a teeny tiny town but to someone from Fruitland, Idaho it probably seems pretty big. Did I like it? 5: Your favourite adult as a child? (and not your parents, if they were your favourite) Cripes, I don’t know. Someone distant and alluring. I really liked Viv Richards as a kid. He seemed the epitome of cool. 6: What kind of smoothie sounds ...

Bachelors have consciences, married men have wives.

Alas, we didn't jump...

Only everyone can know the Truth.

Carn the Bombers! Home, Geilston Bay. September 2012. As you know, the Internet is a wonderful place filled with the rich and varied treasures of the world holds (and RSS feeds.) The following are some things that I've had a look at in the last week. I call this: a Compendium of Click-throughs for Monday Morning... What industry uses 30 billion watts of energy (the equivalent of the output of about 30 nuclear power plants), wastes 90% of that and pollute the environment by belching diesel exhaust, all while cloaked in near total secrecy? A clue? You're on it! Have an idea but not a word for it? You can bet that the Germans do! (It might even be eisenbahnknotenpunkthinundherschiebershäuschen ...) How to teach your child to love reading... The doctors prescribing the drugs don't know they don't do what they're meant to. Nor do their patients. The manufacturers know full well, but they're not telling. Ben Goldacre explains in The Guardian. Reconstruc...

He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command.

One day those cliffs will fall. Until then...

As you enter positions of trust and power, dream a little before you think.

What's going on here?

The dumbest people I know are those who know it all.
