I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Personally, I think that the drool in this photo carries a certain je ne sais quoi. Sure, on the missus after a big night out, it's not a great look, but a ten month old gets a degree of grace in this regard. I took this one with Ez sitting on our front lawn as we gave Henry a bit of space on Saturday.

Pros and Cons of Toddlers Part Five

Pro #5: They're LOVING. Henry tells me at least ten times a day that he loves me. Sure, it's often followed by requests for lolly snakes, but I think that he means it.

Con #4: They're ROUGH. Henry has been known to fatten my lip, graze my brow, bruise both shins, dislocate my pinkie finger and rupture my left kidney, all at the same time. And that is just goodnight kisses!

I don't think your baby is a baby any longer. This child is now early stage toddler! How your babies are growing. I trust that I still recognise them when next we meet. Ha ha, that is a grandpa joke. I am certainly looking forward to spending time with them as soon as I get home.

in my part of India they say drooling and baby hiccups are good signs.......it means the baby is growing and is in good health..no scientific explanation but i too believe in it.

Roddy, he'll ALWAYS be my baby.

Kavita, if dribbling is a good sign, Ez is the healthiest baby in the world!

Great catch. This might be the first photo of a little one drooling that I've ever seen.

Dina, people avoid the drool. I say EMBRACE the drool. Ezra is all about the drool at the moment.

Ezra is drool-worthy, no doubt about it. And the colour of his eyes, now that I see it clearly in this sunlit photograph, is simply beautiful!!!!!

Love to him...

Yamini, he is a hunk, of that there is no doubt!

lovely mug shot & another one that will diminish your authority over the teenage Ez :)
but he is soooo cute - with or without the drool
yamini said…
I second that!!!

But dnt forget, Henry has months of experience to count on, so there is going to be serious competition between the two hunks at your house.

My vote will be split between the two. :-))
Kris McCracken said…
Tash, Ez respects me, and he always will! I'll make him...
Kris McCracken said…
Yamini, TWO hunks?!?!

You're short one hunk!
yamini said…
You took more than 12 hours to respond on that!?!?!?!

I expected a faster reaction!!!!

You are right, though. The count is 3. No doubt about it. :-))

This photo is priceless! Just too cute. He should be the Gerber baby on all the baby products in the USA. :)

Yamini, I am old. Forgive me...
Kris McCracken said…
Denise, feel free to send his photo to any big companies! Our rates are reasonable...

;)

Nevertheless, you are a hunk still!!!!!
Kris McCracken said…
Yamini, well, I cannot deny that reality...

Your humility is really touching!!!!
I hope Henry and Ezra take that lesson from you!!!
Kris McCracken said…
Yamini, my only real floor is that I am too humble...

Ever asked Jen's opinion on that?? I am sure she knows the truth...
Kris McCracken said…
Yamini, Jen is very cruel.

Hold me now, oh hold me now, until this hour has gone around. And I'm gone on the rising tide, to face Van Dieman's Land

Theme Thursday again, and this one is rather easy. I am Tasmanian, you see, and aside from being all around general geniuses - as I have amply described previously - we are also very familiar with the concept of WATER. Tasmania is the ONLY island state of an ISLAND continent. That means, we're surrounded by WATER. That should help explain why I take so many photographs of water . Tasmania was for a long time the place where the British (an island race terrified of water) sent their poor people most vile and horrid criminals. The sort of folk who would face the stark choice of a death sentence , or transportation to the other end of the world. Their catalogue of crimes is horrifying : stealing bread assault stealing gentlemen's handkerchiefs drunken assault being poor affray ladies being overly friendly with gentlemen for money hitting people having a drink and a laugh public drunkenness being Irish Fenian terrorist activities being Catholic religious subversion. ...

Something unpleasant is coming when men are anxious to tell the truth.

This is the moon. Have I mentioned how much I adore the zoom on my camera? It's Theme Thursday you see, and after last week's limp effort, I have been thinking about how I might redeem myself. Then I clicked on the topic and discover that it was BUTTON. We've been hearing a lot about the moon in the past couple of weeks. Apparently some fellas went up there and played golf and what-not forty-odd years ago. The desire to get to the moon, however, was not simply about enhancing opportunities for Meg and Mog titles and skirting local planning by-laws in the construction of new and innovative golf courses. No, all of your Sputniks , "One small steps" and freeze dried ice cream was about one thing , and one thing only : MAD Now, I don't mean mad in terms of "bloke breaks record for number of scorpions he can get up his bum", no I mean MAD as in Mutual assured destruction . When I was a young man you see, there was a lot of talk about the type of m...

But when the strong were too weak to hurt the weak, the weak had to be strong enough to leave.

Can you believe that it is time for Theme Thursday already? Today we are not talking chocolate , toddlers , mess or ignominy . No, today we're dealing with ANIMAL . Now I could have posted a picture of a possum, numbat, wombat, wallaby or any other furry killing machine that roams our fair isle, but I figure that I'd use a far more deadly creature as an example of an animal . Some people - I know them as fools - have chosen to embrace that highfalutin idea that human beans are for some ungodly reason superior to animals. Of course, what these imbeciles seem to forget is that were are simple animals ourselves ! Anyone with a baby, toddler, teenage boy or Queenslander in their household could tell you this. Look at Henry [above]. One chocolate frog in the back of the car on a sunny day and all of a sudden it's Elagabalus meets Bacchus for a quick shandy in the Serengeti and we're down on all fours carrying on like a cat in heat. Fair dinkum, anyone who chooses to ...
