Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it.

Here is a seagull looking for a place to go. I have it on good authority - an authority of distinct totalitarian bent named Henry - that this seagull's name is "Constantin", and that he is headed to Glasgow to buy a pizza.

I captured this fellow down in Lindisfarne, Lindisfarne down the road from Geilston Bay, not the tidal island off the north-east English coast most famous for being sacked by angry Vikings. Given that, the pizza is most likely going to be cold by the time he gets there.

Today's Sunday Top Five Ten!

My personal favourite Ten Michael Jackson tracks (in chronological order):
  • I Want You Back

  • ABC

  • Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough

  • Billie Jean

  • Beat It

  • Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'

  • Man in the Mirror

  • Dirty Diana

  • Smooth Criminal

  • Liberian Girl
For mine, the stand out is Billie Jean (one of the all time great pop tracks), but all of them are terribly good, and come highly recommended.

I notice that you often use Henry to explain your own cerebral wanderings. Having spoken at length to Henry he assures me that his only interest is in having fun and that really the worlds travails hold little of interest for him, at present.

I'm just wondering, did Constantin ring ahead, in which case the pizza will be cold. That is if the pizza joint doesn't throw it out thinking that it will never be picked up. And if Constantin is taking it home for tea, then perhaps it may be a little cool before he arrives home. Only cerebral wanderings of my own.

I also consider Bille Jean and Beat It as all time unique, but smooth criminal - nope! don't like it at all.

This is one of those photos which I am not sure whether I like or not, but I sure would want to keep looking at it, if only to seek the TRUTH about whether I like it or not...
Have a nice day!! :-)

I have been musing much this week on the actual lyrics to these songs. I find I don't know any of them beyond the first few words. After that it all becomes unitelligible. I can sing Ben, and She's Out of My Life word for word (and I'm not proud of that) but Billie Jean - just what IS that about?
And Man in the Mirror I only discovered through a cover version by Idea of North, a stunning Australian a cappella jazz quartet.
Ah well, too late now.
About your list track. I prefer the last songs of Mj. On your list I prefer Man In The Mirror.
I think that most of the MJ songs of 80's still sound that decade.

KL, too heavy for your taste? I like MJ rocking out.

I bet that you don't like Dirty Diana either!

Yamini, it isn't my favourite photo.

Aigars, you don't like the Jackson 5 stuff?

Beth, Billie Jean is a classic tale. Boy meets girl. Boy shags girl. Some time later girls reappears with child claiming child support. Boy says that he's not the one, the kid is not his son.

MDP, so you prefer what is known by many as "white MJ". I will be honest and admit that I prefer "black MJ".

Ah, Joe, you never knew the whole of it...

I still have the robot on the job. Here you can see the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery . And here is a poem: Soliloquy for One Dead Bruce Dawe Ah, no, Joe, you never knew the whole of it, the whistling which is only the wind in the chimney's smoking belly, the footsteps on the muddy path that are always somebody else's. I think of your limbs down there, softly becoming mineral, the life of grasses, and the old love of you thrusts the tears up into my eyes, with the family aware and looking everywhere else. Sometimes when summer is over the land, when the heat quickens the deaf timbers, and birds are thick in the plumbs again, my heart sickens, Joe, calling for the water of your voice and the gone agony of your nearness. I try hard to forget, saying: If God wills, it must be so, because of His goodness, because- but the grasshopper memory leaps in the long thicket, knowing no ease. Ah, Joe, you never knew the whole of it... I like Bruce Dawe. He just my be my favourite Austral...

There was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong.

Here is a self portrait. I’m calling it Portrait of a lady in a dirty window . Shocking, isn’t it? However, it is apt! Samhain , Nos Galan Gaeaf , Hop-tu-Naa , All Saints , All Hallows , Hallowmas , Hallowe'en or HALLOWEEN . It’s Theme Thursday and we’re talking about the festivals traditionally held at the end of the harvest season. Huh? No wonder Australians have trouble with the concept of HALLOWEEN. For the record, in my thirty-two L O N G years on the planet, I can’t say I’ve ever seen ghosts ‘n goblins, trick ‘n treaters or Michael Myers stalking Tasmania’s streets at the end of October. [That said, I did once see a woman as pale as a ghost turning tricks that looked like Michael Myers in late November one time.] Despite the best efforts of Hollywood, sitcoms, and innumerable companies; it seems Australians are impervious to the [ahem] charms of a corporatized variant of a celebration of the end of the "lighter half" of the year and beginning of the "darke...

In dreams begin responsibilities.

A life at sea, that's for me, only I just don't have the BREAD. That's right, Theme Thursday yet again and I post a photo of a yacht dicking about in Bass Strait just off Wynyard. The problem is, I am yet again stuck at work, slogging away, because I knead need the dough . My understanding is that it is the dough that makes the BREAD. And it is the BREAD that buys the yacht. On my salary though, I will be lucky to have enough dough or BREAD for a half dozen dinner rolls. Happy Theme Thursday people, sorry for the rush.
