L'Astrolabe has left for the time being, and I am missing her! It's even worse this Monday, as I have the office all to myself, so my weeping will not disturb others.

It is indeed a cruel world!

Was it two hours well spent? Even the smallest positive can some times be worthwhile. All I can say is look for the end of the tunnel and try to avoid the oncoming traffic. Good luck!

Our Monday staff meeting, at the end of the day, consisted of champagne, beer, soft drink, chips and assorted cheeses. And lots of money changing hands as everyone joined the Cup Sweeps on offer. A lovely finish to the day that heralded a public holiday for those lucky enough to live in Melbourne. And better yet...only an average 50% attendance by students that day! Aaah.....
