I am being lazy here and AGAIN going back to the waterfront. Yes, you've seen the Derwent here, here, here, here and here, but hey, I live right by the river! I know that I have promised a bit of variety, but I really liked the way the colours have come up on this one. The orange boat that you can see there is L'Astrolabe, as previously featured on this blog.
It would have been about 7:50 am, brisk morning on the walk to work. I will try to capture some ‘urban grit’ tomorrow! Maybe a broken bottle or blood trickling down the gutter. Maybe even some old cigarette butts floating downstream. That'd be nice.

You are living in Tasmania, I have to look at the weather of it.
I can tell you, that we have during winters even - 35 degrees Celsius and our houses - wooden or concrete - are very warm inside, they have to be :)
Do you need some heating system inside your houses?
We're lucky enough to be in a new house, so it's built with maximising the sun and keeping heat in. We've got a heat pump inverter, but don't have to use it much. It's a big improvement on the older houses that I've lived in, which were terrible for keeping warm in!
And Abe, we don't have a huge amount of air traffic, so not that many jet trails.
Great light there.
Nice to dscover your project.
No worries, mate.
Your photo reflects this peaceful beauty that I am speaking about, even if it is developed land, it is now content.
This particular one reminds me of my own "photo of the year 2007"
Cheers
The Derwent is looking a lot better since they started taking pollution seriously in the late 1980s.
When it comes to taking photos around hobart I always find myself drawn to both the Derwent and the Mountain. Take a thousand shots of each and there will still be many more waiting to be taken!
