I thought it only fair with you that I share this image snapped during my lunchtime stroll along the sunny Derwent. How about this for a lovely summer sky?
The sun is obviously feeling a little like me today: struggling.
"rainy days & Monday's always get me down" - It's such a beautiful, rain cloud day - spectacular photo. But it's Monday, after the holidays, in 7 hrs it will me my back-to-work time. I did not realize how wide the river is at Hobart. & I just can't get over that I get to see the view over the river during lunchtime in TASMANIA.
...and we are struggling with winter skies over here. You really seem to have enjoyed your holiday, as usual spending time with the kids. You are an excellent dad, Kris!!
Fantastic photo!I like your blog, and while travelling I try to follow this site, it always surprises me. Such a mix, something to think, family story, daily pic, great title, and of course Australia.

Jeez! you seem to be living in one of the best place on earth - both mountains and oceans side by side (so it seems from your posts), very much like Alaska. Absolutely great!
Wow! That looks like the kind of weather we are having here in Ohio. At least you have summer to look forward to. All we can expect is more cold and waist-deep snow.

It might not be sunny but its a stunning shot. Right now I think I'd prefer that. Its going to be over 40 degrees in the western suburbs of Sydney today. Thankfully only about 30 in the city.
