Is not general incivility the very essence of love?


So here I am looking over Storm Bay. Next stop, Antarctica!

Storm Bay is the entrance to the Derwent River estuary, and is bordered by Bruny Island to the west and the Tasman Peninsula to the east. This view is to the south east, where the vilest, most wretched and smelliest convicts to be vomited from Britain's shores ended up!

Yes, really, lucky them, at least in the long run.
I remember standing by the sea in NSW, looking out over the endless water, and thinking "This right here is the end of the known world."

Antarctica and Arctic! now that's where I really want to go and explore.

Now those convicts have made a lovely country called Australia where many British now try to emigrate. That's the irony of fate.

Babzy, they would have noticed the alternating stifling hot and terribly cold weather, deadly tiger snakes and absolute lack of any comforts of civilisation as they would have understood it. It would have been like being exiled to the moon for most of them.

Can you believe that it is time for Theme Thursday already? Today we are not talking chocolate , toddlers , mess or ignominy . No, today we're dealing with ANIMAL . This is the moon. Have I mentioned how much I adore the zoom on my camera? It's Theme Thursday you see, and after last week's limp effort, I have been thinking about how I might redeem myself.
