You can't say that civilization don't advance, however, for in every war they kill you in a new way.

We've had a bit of rain about this week, which acts as a bit of a disincentive to get out with the camera. If you are interested in shots of raindrops or puddles, this is the place to be. Here is a railing down in Sullivan's Cove, just across the road from Parliament House. I haven't counted each raindrop, but won't stop you if you wish to.

Killing you softly with my song. That is life. War is over, give peace a chance. As long as the end is painless!
Try living without rain. Unfortunately, no way.

I have always found it interesting to look at any war from the point of view of the soldier who is fighting it. We, sitting in our cosy houses, can never understand it as good as that soldier in the line of fire.

The photograph is nice and okay.

An interesting and unusual picture. Here in the UK we have enough rain to start a new ocean. Our soldiers are being killed off at a rapid pace and I still don't understand war.

Roddy, tell that to the lizards.

Yamini, I wouldn't like getting shot at.

Lettuce, no trouble!

Valerie, war is the failure of reason.

Tell the lizards to come to my place. I have a number of dry areas for them.

I shall pass it on.

Nobody does Kris, not even me.

That is why I said, looking at a war from a soldier's point of view is interesting.

Not every soldier gets into the Army because of the lofty patriotism promoted in our movies. Sometimes, the reason can be completely simple and cruelly practical.

Yamini, I have been mulling on the Punic Wars and it seems a soldiers lot has always been hard.

This is attractive drizzle.

Danial, thanks! It was cold that day.
