You can't say that civilization don't advance, however, for in every war they kill you in a new way.


We've had a bit of rain about this week, which acts as a bit of a disincentive to get out with the camera. If you are interested in shots of raindrops or puddles, this is the place to be. Here is a railing down in Sullivan's Cove, just across the road from Parliament House. I haven't counted each raindrop, but won't stop you if you wish to.

I have always found it interesting to look at any war from the point of view of the soldier who is fighting it. We, sitting in our cosy houses, can never understand it as good as that soldier in the line of fire.

The photograph is nice and okay.

An interesting and unusual picture. Here in the UK we have enough rain to start a new ocean. Our soldiers are being killed off at a rapid pace and I still don't understand war.

Nobody does Kris, not even me.

That is why I said, looking at a war from a soldier's point of view is interesting.

Not every soldier gets into the Army because of the lofty patriotism promoted in our movies. Sometimes, the reason can be completely simple and cruelly practical.

Can you believe that it is time for Theme Thursday already? Today we are not talking chocolate , toddlers , mess or ignominy . No, today we're dealing with ANIMAL . This is the moon. Have I mentioned how much I adore the zoom on my camera? It's Theme Thursday you see, and after last week's limp effort, I have been thinking about how I might redeem myself.
