Here we are atop Mount Wellington again, trying to see Antarctica. Unfortunately, the view doesn't extend much beyond the Tasman Peninsula, and the rocks are already obsfucating things as it is. Bloody rocks. You can, however, see the offing. I love the offing.
I have another day off, which will mean two three day weeks running. I could get used to a three day week, no worries.
Three sleeps to Satan Claws. Are you excited yet?
Comments
1. Really you can see Antarctica from there, or just joking?
2. What is an offing?
3. Do Australians get really that much day like in Paris or in some Scandinavian countries off or you the lucky one?
Nice photograph...atop Mount Wellington.
By the way, Happy Holidays to you and Jen,Henry,Ezra and your families too!
DeeDee ;-D
1) No, it's too far away. We're closer than most others though!
2) The horizon (Ancient Greek ὁ ὁρίζων, from ὁρίζειν, "to limit") is the apparent line that separates earth from sky. It is also a nautical term, meaning near at hand; originally it meant a distance from the shore - i.e., towards the horizon.
3) Not usually, but I've managed to gain a bit of power in the workplace and negotiate more family friendly hours.
We havent heard either Henry or Ez talking in a long time now. Can we please have a video of both of them soon? plzzzzzzzzzzz
See you all for Christmas.
You astound me my son. Ancient Greek now. Modern Greek would be hard enough.
