Anyone who hasn't experienced the ecstasy of betrayal knows nothing about ecstasy at all.

The MOMA FOMA festival of wank art and annoying noise sound is well and truly over (the sirens and the sandpit no longer outside of the office window). Despite this however, the needs of Theme Thursday have seen me dig into the grab bag of photos and yet again fish out a self portrait.

The theme today is, if you haven't already guessed, MIRROR. Rather than hold up a MIRROR to my emotional and psychological state (and equally depress and amuse you all), I've opted for the easy strategy of a ambiguous self portrait.

I've done a few, some straightforward, some with kids, and, of course, some alone.

Great effects. Is it the new camera...or are you just taking better pics? They all seem so much sharper and stunning!
I like the new layout. The picture on your heading is gorgeous! What made you decide to change it all?

Sue, I think that the camera helps. We've also had some good weather, which doesn't hurt light-wise.

The header pic was taken in Bellerive (just down the road from us) last Sunday afternoon.

I changed it all because I was bored with the old look, and I also wanted to expand the template, as it was chopping off the sides of photos for those viewing with small laptops.

Great post for mirror. I love the texture here.
Also, congratulations on the, uh...art being done and over with.

Magpie, it literally was the wailing wall.

I love that, I can interpret so many things from that one photo!

I like the little doodads mixed in with the reflection. Self portraits are more interesting in this sort of setting...but next time, look up :)

Now that's a self portrait you can read anything into - maybe the best (in my case, at least) :-)

Wonderful picture which had me gazing into it for ages, seeking out additional layers.

Ambiguous and ambidextrous, all at once. Nicely done!

Sometimes, the best mirror I’ve got is the look in my daughter’s eyes.
