I know that it is Autumn, but it is feeling more like winter. I must have taken this one in the first week of May, as these trees are nearly nude now.

It's kind of sexy, only the cold takes the edge off the excitement...

You are making me jealous with all these pictures of trees. I am flat out estimating how many cubic metres of wood I would get from them. The latest one in the foreground is about the right girth as the ones I have been cutting of late. However, I know these trees of yours and they are by no way as tall as the ones I cut down. The smallest I have recently dropped had a breadth of two metres. Thirty five metres tall.

These are protected trees. Nick McKimm guards them at night with his attack dog.
