Take the course opposite to custom and you will almost always do well.

Arguments.

Always arguments.

Arguments, open discussions, verbal dialogue. As long as we communicate.

I always considered that it was a good thing that my boys questioned whatever I said or did as it meant that they had their own minds and did not just blindly follow whatever was said to them or asked of them. Hard at times, but if you want to raise independent and resourceful, thinking adults, the resultant arguments that often follow are the price we parents pay! It won't last forever...should be over by the time you are about....eighty!

Roddy, some would argue that an argument does not constitute 'communication'.

Sue, I expect that the arguments will cease when I am dead. But of that, I shall not know until I am there!
