No two persons ever read the same book.

Dozing gator. Taronga Park Zoo, Sydney. September 2012.

The Milkman in the Night, Andrey Kurkov

Andrey Kurkov is my favourite author of post-Soviet blackly comic, absurdist tales. This isn't really his best (a little too much telling rather than showing for my taste), but it is an enjoyable little romp through modern-day Kyev. C+

I have been meaning to get a hold of this one (well, all his books, actually).

How does it compare to "The Good Angel of Death"?

Really terrible.

Smudgeon, it's probably not as good (to my mind). It could have used a more thorough edit. Still, it was an enjoyable romp.

Leovi, it wasn't that bad...
