I still have the robot on the job. Here you can see the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery . And here is a poem: Soliloquy for One Dead Bruce Dawe Ah, no, Joe, you never knew the whole of it, the whistling which is only the wind in the chimney's smoking belly, the footsteps on the muddy path that are always somebody else's. I think of your limbs down there, softly becoming mineral, the life of grasses, and the old love of you thrusts the tears up into my eyes, with the family aware and looking everywhere else. Sometimes when summer is over the land, when the heat quickens the deaf timbers, and birds are thick in the plumbs again, my heart sickens, Joe, calling for the water of your voice and the gone agony of your nearness. I try hard to forget, saying: If God wills, it must be so, because of His goodness, because- but the grasshopper memory leaps in the long thicket, knowing no ease. Ah, Joe, you never knew the whole of it... I like Bruce Dawe. He just my be my favourite Austral

It almost looks like you are walking on loaves of bread instead of stones. Pretty cool looking.
I do have to say that I am not a fan of socialism and even though it seems like it should work it is proving it is not something that mankind seems able to figure out. I honestly think that if one person is willing to work their butt off to earn a living that someone else has the right to take away what that person earned to give to another who is not willing to work to earn a living. I think each government steals enough from us in the guise of taxes in order to keep funding their spending habits. In my city alone they have in the last four years added taxes onto everything they possibly could. Every utility bill now has an added city tax on top of the county, state, and federal taxes. Here in CA we have almost the highest taxes in the world. It is getting close to fifty percent of our income that is going to taxes and most of the people who work here are getting sick of working half the year just to pay taxes. Then we see how overpaid government workers are compared to the private sector and one wonders if the private sector workers quit working then who will pay the salaries of the government workers.
I sometimes wonder if we are going to have a rebellion that is the opposite or maybe the same as the French Rebellion. It seems as if our government and government workers are doing the same thing as the French Royalty and the people who are working their butts off are just watching the Government Royalty take and take from them until they have nothing left to give. It is hard to watch everyone we know struggle with less and less while they are being forced to work harder and harder and then see that government workers are prospering and using our hard earned tax money with so much wasteful spending. I think we do not mind giving tax money as long as it is spent wisely which is something that is not being done.
Sorry for such a long comment but I just hate how gobments just think they can keep raising our taxes and then claim they are not stealing from the poor. The poor have to pay for utilities, register vehicles, pay payroll taxes, and pay sales taxes on almost everything they buy. All of these taxes keep increasing along with income taxes. And the sad thing is that most of the poor believe the stories that who they vote for are not taxing them. But the word is getting out and maybe people will decide that freedom to choose one's destiny is greater than funding a thieving gobment.
So as my hubby says I guess I am too liberal for most people and definitely too liberal for wanting to succumb to a gobment telling me what I should do.
Hope you have a great week and it is never too late for freedom.
Oh and sorry for commenting so late. Just cannot seem to get rid of this earache and the past few days were terrible with the throbbing. Hope all is well with you and yours.
God bless.

I live in a country that practices Socialism, a more successful version
My husband receives fabulous benefits from his job including some very long paid vacations.
I have Epilepsy living in the states I couldn't have afforded treatment and it would have been completely out of the question to see a specialist, here it is perfectly possible that said I have no real choice in doctors and appointments take months. Forget going to the doctor if you have the flu, you will be recovered well before! Doctors write you off pretty quickly, you need to be in pretty serious condition, I can't see a psychologist for example because I am not suicidal, well I can but first I have to jump through a lot of hoops. I think it is a nice place to live over all but there are some draw backs certainly but such is the case with all systems.
Alan, cheers!
Mrsupole, getting the balance right is the key. It's clear that some places have done that better than others.
